What GPS Update Reference records about readers, why, and for how long. The short answer is very little: no forms, no accounts and no tracking of its own.
Last revised October 4, 2026
The short version
Routine server records and any emails readers choose to send; outside services only as listed below.
Who is responsible
XYZ LLC, CALIFORNIA, USA, publishes the site and decides how the little information it handles is used. Editorial email: test@gmail.com.
What the site records
The web server that delivers these pages keeps the routine request records that every web server keeps: the requesting IP address, the browser type, the page asked for, the time, and the page the visitor came from. Their only use is keeping the site running and secure.
When a reader writes to the editorial address, the message and the sender’s address are kept in order to reply and to keep a record of corrections.
Cookies
Readers receive no cookies from the publication itself. The publishing software may set cookies for signed-in editors only. Outside services named below may set their own, under their own policies.
Outside services
No outside service is loaded on these pages: no analytics, advertising tag, font service or embedded content from another company.
How long information is kept
Server records are kept for the period set by the hosting provider, usually a matter of weeks. Correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed for replies and the record of corrections.
Readers’ rights
Depending on the law where they live, readers may ask to see, correct or delete information held about them, or object to its use. Requests can be sent to the editorial email.
Children
The site is written for adult drivers and is not directed at children.
Changes
When this policy is revised, the “last revised” line beneath its title changes with it.
